Cablesoft Engineering, Inc. (CSEI) is a tele- communications consulting firm, specializing in cable television and broadband network engineering. Areas of expertise are:

HFC network engineering & design.
Headend RF & optical design.
Development of engineering standards.
Due Diligence & FCC Proof of Performance Testing, including digital QAM & 8-VSB carrier testing.
Reverse path 'proof' testing including QPSK & 16-QAM prior to VoIP launch.

CSEI is located in the scenic Loess Hills of western Iowa.

H Mark Bowers is VP of Engineering at Cablesoft Engineering, Inc. Mark has been involved in telecommunications since 1968 and cable television since 1973. He has held various cable industry posts including Director of Corporate Technical Planning for Centel Cable Communications Company in Chicago; and Vice President of Corporate Engineering for Warner Cable Communications in Dublin, OH. Mr. Bowers education includes Radio Engineering Institute, Omaha, NE; the U.S. Naval Nuclear Engineering School; and Kennedy-Western University, Cheyenne, WY, with BS and MS degrees in Management of Technology. Mark is a member of the Society of Cable Telecommunication Engineers (SCTE), the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), and a Senior Member and licensed Master Engineer (NCE) with NARTE, the National Association of Radio and Telecommunications Engineers. Mr. Bowers was granted a First Class FCC License, #P1-17-21836, on Feb. 2nd, 1976.
